Uber

Earner Campaign

About The Project

Uber was launching a brand-new YouTube channel.

Not for riders. For Earners.

Drivers, couriers, and the people who make the platform move every day.

The goal was simple on paper: create a multi-series campaign that could educate, inform, and support Uber Earners across the different services Uber offers. But the work could not feel like a training video. It had to feel native to YouTube. Helpful, human, watchable, and real.

So the campaign had to be built around the people who actually know the work best: real Uber Earners.

The Ask

Uber needed a campaign that could help launch a new YouTube channel focused entirely on Earners.

The content had to cover a wide range of topics, tools, services, safety resources, mentorship, and everyday questions from the driver experience. It needed to be clear enough to educate, useful enough to support, and entertaining enough to keep people watching.

The biggest creative challenge was authenticity.

This could not be actors pretending to drive for Uber. It had to be real Earners in real cars, sharing real experience. But real people are not casting profiles. They have schedules, cities, comfort levels, driving histories, and different levels of on-camera confidence.

So before we could make the campaign, we had to find the people.

The Solution

Casting became the backbone of the whole project.

Working closely with Uber, we sorted through large lists of Earners based on the needs of each episode: location, years driving, number of trips, service type, personality, and availability. From there, Uber sent outreach, Earners submitted auditions, and we reviewed hundreds of responses to find the right people.

Then came the puzzle.

Could we find two strong Earners in the same city? Could they carry a conversation? Could they take direction without feeling over-produced? Could we make a real car feel like a YouTube set without making it feel like a set at all?

That became the creative tension of the campaign.

We filmed across multiple cities, including Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Texas, with another Earner filming remotely in a self-vlog format. For the remote work, we shipped camera kits, built simple direction, and stayed close through regular check-ins so the footage still felt guided, clear, and useful without losing the personal feel.

For the in-car productions, we had to get inventive. We tested camera placement, audio setups, and rigging that would let real Earners drive and talk naturally while giving the client a clean way to watch and listen in. At one point, that meant building a follow-van video village, letting our team and client trail behind the car, monitor the feed, hear the conversation, and radio in direction without breaking the moment.

The whole production was designed to disappear.

Because the less the viewer felt our hand in it, the more they could feel the truth of the Earners on screen.

The Deliverables

REMEDY delivered a multi-series video campaign for the launch of Uber’s Earner-focused YouTube channel.

The campaign included six projects across multiple locations and formats, including on-location shoots, in-car episodes, and remote self-vlog content. REMEDY handled writing, casting, production, production design, editorial, sound design, music, color, finishing, title design, motion graphics, and format development.

The series became a key part of the Uber Earner channel, with several REMEDY-produced videos continuing to rank among the channel’s top-performing pieces.
